Meet Coach David Samaniego
My professional coaching career commenced in 1993, establishing its foundations in Bamberg, Germany, before extending to the United States. Over the past decades, I have had the privilege of leading numerous semi-professional and U.S. affiliated teams, cultivating a comprehensive understanding of diverse competitive environments.
My initial coaching role in the U.S. was with the San Angelo Spartans, a foundational experience that prepared me to embark on a more entrepreneurial path. Subsequently, I founded and owned The West Texas Scorpions, a team that quickly earned a formidable reputation for its unwavering competitive spirit and readiness to face any challenge, anywhere, at any time. Under my leadership, the Scorpions achieved notable success, securing multiple championships and contributing to numerous players receiving significant League, State, and National recognition.
The next chapter of my career unfolded with the North Texas Stampede, an enriching experience where I benefited immensely from the guidance of the esteemed late Patrick Porter, a true mentor in the sport. Following this impactful period in the Dallas area, I was sought after to coach with another exceptional organization, The West Texas Drillers. This opportunity was made possible by team owners Michael Heetland and the revered late owner and player, Matthew Worden, both of whom contributed greatly to the team's success.
My journey through these distinguished programs ultimately led me to the national and international stage. I have since had the honor of coaching with Team USA AFE Football, Team USA Revolution, and most recently, Team USA INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL INC., working alongside original owners Anthony Mangini and David Myers Sr. Currently, I hold the pivotal roles of Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator for the organization.
